 Jothika says goodbye to films
 Actress Jothika, who entered into
wedlock with Suriya September 11, said she won't act in films, "at least for now as we are keen on having a family". She said she had no regrets despite a successful ten-year-old career. On her marriage, Jothika said, "I am very happy. I'm glad that I have married into an extremely nice family."
Speaking to the media September 12, Suriya confirmed that she won't act in films "at least for now". "We want to concentrate on our family life," he added.
He scotched speculation about "thani kudithanam" by stating that they would stay with his parents, and continue to live in Sivakumar's T Nagar residence. "We are in the process of renovating a room upstairs where we will stay," added

About the marriage, Suriya said, "It's been worth the long wait. We are overwhelmed with the greetings and good wishes from all over the world. The media has been extremely kind to us. The photos of our wedding are seen everywhere."
Jothika said the photos were in newspapers, magazines and on the Net. The response has been staggering, she added.
A proud Sivakumar (actor and father of Suriya) said he had not seen this kind of news coverage for any other wedding in his lifetime. He regretted that the plans for a wedding reception today had to be cancelled as over 50,000 fans wanted to come from all over south India to attend it. It would have been impossible for this many people to gather at one mandapam. It would have also created massive security and traffic problems, he added.
About the honeymoon plans, a blushing Suriya said, "We will be off to Europe soon."
