Leading
actor Vikram is happy with the progress on the forthcoming film
'Bhima' and says it should be released in time for Deepavali.
Work on his next film 'Kandasamy' will also begin next month, he
disclosed in an exclusive Interview to Chennaionline.
Talking about 'Bhima', Vikram said it has
come off well. "Work on the film will get over this month, and
we are fairly confident it will be a Deepavali release."
Vikram said the film had all the right
elements. "Action, romance and some fun. People will like the
movie."
About his role, Vikram said in a guarded
tone, "I don't want to talk too much about my role. Let's wait
for the film release. All I can say I play a rowdy."
Oh, is that the kind of 'porukki' that one
saw in Samy? "(Laughs), No, that was a cop who is always a bit
it of a rowdy. This is rowdy, plain and simple. But this rowdy
will be different."
You mean people will fall in love with this
rowdy? "Hope so, I think people will like this rowdy."
We thought you were getting out of rowdyism
after Samy? "It's not that this is a typical rowdy and all
violence. This rowdy is a fellow people will like."
On 'Kandasamy', his next venture, Vikram
disclosed that shooting will commence next month. This film is a
different subject. "Again, this will be an urban film largely
but with an universal appeal. It will have entertainment and
also a message."
Susi is working hard on providing a good
film, Vikram said, adding that he was happy to work with
producer Dhanu.
On whether he would make films from now on
and not make his fans wait for two years, Vikram said, "I don't
want to disappoint them. I normally like to work on only one
film at a time. That way I feel I can do justice to the role."
"However, I am looking at working on more
films. I now have six scripts before me," he said with a twinkle
in the eye.
