It's now become a well-known fact that 'Ultimate Star' Ajit had returned to Hollywood's Warner Brothers the 'huge' advance paid to him to star in the sequence to his 'Billa'. Whatever could be the reason, the project is off as on now. Sensing this, AVM Productions had called Ajit for a discussion about their next project together and Ajit was promptly there to discuss the modalities.
Ajit, who is committed to do a film for Sivaji Productions, has given bulk dates to AVM productions for his new film with them. AVM had already made the moderately successful 'Thirupathi' with Ajit and Sadha in the lead. The director of AVM and Ajit's latest film will be Jananathan, who has been directing 'Jeyam' Ravi for 'Peraanmai' right now. Jananathan has made critically acclaimed films like national award winner 'Iyarkai' and 'E'.
Jananathan has reportedly met Ajit, narrated the story briefly to him and had won the star's consent to go ahead. The fact that AVM productions, which is presently producing Surya-Tamanna starrer 'Ayan', will be joining hands with Ajit won't be music to Vijay's ears.
Readers might remember that AVM and Vijay were to come together a couple of years ago but the film was called off by the latter.
