Aamir says no to politics

Amir KhanStating that he would never enter into politics, Bollywood star Aamir Khan has said the Mumbai terror attacks had stirred up awareness among citizens to chose right leaders.

"After the terror attack, citizens are well aware about the state of affairs in the country and this will help them choose the right leader in the coming elections," he said while launching a campaign to create awareness amongst voters.

A city-based NGO, Association for Democratic Reforms and National Election Watch, launched a nationwide voter awareness campaign 'Vote for Integrity, Vote for Good People'.

The campaign will appeal to citizens to make an informed choice and also provide them with information about candidates through a toll free number, SMS and website.

The 44-year-old actor, however, said he would never enter into politics like other actors, as he is very passionate about acting and movies.

"I have voted only twice or thrice and will be voting this year too. I vote for the leader who has a strong character and a high level of integrity," he said.
