Producer Leela M. Kesavan, who has produced films like 'Kadhal Kisukisu', 'Gundakka Mandakka', etc., has now launched the film 'Meyyalumae Poi'. The film would be starring a host of newcomers and would be directed by Gunasekar. Gunasekar was part of the story-writing team of 'Anbalaya' Prabakaran for many years and had also directed a solitary film titled 'Maamanithan' that starred Napoleon and Goundamani released a few years ago.

Guna has the phrase 'Love is True; but, that's a lie' uttered by the legendary Charlie Chaplin as the theme/backdrop to his story. Leela has also launched another film on the same day she launched 'Meyyalumae..' and has named the film 'Medhuva Medhuva Thodalamaa'. More than six newcomers are to be introduced in both the movies in leading roles, says the producer.

The newcomers have been selected from countries as wide as America, Singapore and Malaysia, making one wonder whether these films are truly 'international' in nature (?!). The shooting is scheduled to take place in London besides Paris and other European cities.
