He has wound up the shooting of ‘Periyar’ where he plays the title role. And now Satyaraj is back to completing his other assignments like ‘Vambusandai’. The hero is paired with debutant Chandramukhi and the film is directed by Rajkapur. Satyaraj plays three roles in the film. One is that of a mentally disturbed person, the other is a worker from a middle class, while the third is the election commissioner. Satyaraj has on the floors ‘Adavadi’, where he has three heroines sharing frames. Probably he is the rare case of a hero having the best of both worlds, the offbeat and potboilers.

Sherin returns to Kollywood

Sherin returns to Tamil films. After her debut film ‘Thulluvatho Ilamai’, the actress did get a couple of offers. But they didn’t work out and she left for her hometown of Bangalore. One then got to see her in some commercials and a couple of Kannada films. And a Malayalam film too. But the foray into these languages didn’t prove very fruitful either and the actress was back to square one. And now Sherin is back in Tamil and plays the lead in ‘Oo...’ In an interview to a daily, she attributes her lean patch to her distraction with Rohan, the man who was once seen escorting her to her shoots. “I loved him and helped him financially, but he betrayed me,” lamented the actress. She’s now learnt her lesson and is concentrating on her career, she added.

Madhavan in a Sivaji production

“If Amitabh Bachchan can make guest appearances in films, why cant I?” This is Madhavan who is appearing in a guest role in the Hindi film ‘Delhi Heights’. The film, produced by thespian Sivaji Ganesan’s ‘Sivaji Films’, by his son, actor prabhu, stars Neha Dhupia, and Jimmy Shergill, with Madhavan in a noteworthy cameo. It’s after a 45 year gap that the banner is re-entering Hindi film production. The film is shot majorly in Delhi had its final schedule in Chennai at Sivaji Ganesan’s house, which is depicted as Madhavan’s house in the film. Some scenes were canned on Madhavan and Neha. “I’m proud to act in a Sivaji production and that too in Sivaji Sir’s own house,” says on overwhelmed Madhavan. The story centeres on an upwardly mobile working couple and depicts the problems they encounter after their marriage. The film is set for a February release.
