The International Cine Appreciation Forum (ICAF) in association with the Consulate General of Israel, Mumbai, and the Indo Israel Friendship Association, Chennai, is organising an Israeli Film Festival at the South Indian Film Chamber Theatre, 606, Anna Salai, Chennai 600 006.
The festival will be inaugurated on June 1, 2007, by Daniel Zohar Zonshine, Consul General of Israel, Mumbai. After the inauguration, Shira Richter, director from Israel, will introduce her film 'Two States of Mind', a documentary about two women, one an Israeli and the other, a Palestinian, who participate together in a car rally. Film actress Sanghavi, will light the traditional lamp (kuthuvilakku) at the inaugural function.

E Thangaraj, general secretary of ICAF, said the festival would be on in Chennai from June 1 to 3, 2007.
