Divya
Spandana, the grand-daughter of India's External Affairs Minister S.M.
Krishna, has moved up to the 'No.1' heroine's slot in Kannada film
industry. With just seven months in this year gone so far, Divya has
already delivered a whopping number of five hit films till now. This has
ensured that her fee per film too has witnessed a meteoric rise in
recent times.
Divya has recently decided to own up a team among the many teams
participating in the Karnataka Premier League (KPL) cricket tournament.
The businesswoman in Divya has come to the fore with this decision.
Divya is said to be in serious talks with the various teams in the fray.
Says the actress, last seen in Tamil in 'Vaaranam Aayiram', "I would try
to ensure that at all costs that I am able to recover the money I
invest. Therefore, I'm taking my own time to analyse the intricacies of
the game of cricket and this tournament in particular"."
The beautiful Divya appears to have been endowed with a brave heart
too. At a recent meet-the-press programme, Divya and the journalists
entered into a huge verbal duel which had almost come to blows. Divya,
however, appeared least disturbed by the turn of events. Though Divya
owns a vast house, she listens to the stories of her films only in star
hotels.
