Harris Jeyaraj It seems Harris Jeyaraj has embarked on an ‘Oscar-winning’ mission with renewed interest after A R Rahman romping home with double oscars. Though he has already scored music for a Hindi film, Harris is treating his next Hindi assignment as his first one.

Harris will be composing music for A.R. Murugadoss’ next Hindi film starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. Harris is apparently under the impression that a successful stint in Bollywood would open the doors of Hollywood to him. The composer who has worked with Rahman would surely be knowing a thing or two from the maestro.

The vastly unknown side of Harris Jeyaraj is that he has been a regular customer at many of Chennai’s road-side fast-food eateries. When he goes in person, Harris prefers a star hotel but when the food is to be taken on parcel, he insists that it be purchased from a road-side eatery. Interesting habit for a successful music director!

Hi harris fans, harris is one of the leading music director of tamil cinema! I was his fan once! But not now!i also fell down for his superb music like vaseegara,june ponaal,etc.but i came to know that everything which admired me are not harris original creation! He just copied from Rahman and international artist. So i felt so disappointed for harris copy work on seeing you tube videos!after that, i just straightly listening Rahman's album and international albums instead of praising harris copycat works! Wow Rahman music just freeze me like ice! I have no words to express my feelings! Because i m new to Rahman music! So his every song made me struck! What a incredible compositions of Rahman! Hats off Rahman sir! I m cent percent sure any one can melted by Rahman sir's music! So please dont compare the legend Rahman to copycat harris!

A.r.Rahman doing tamil, Telgu, hindi, english movies in a single year and give his best all the way. but harris doing only tamil movies that also no variety! but as for Rahman different language people have different taste of music and Rahman fullfills everyone.but harris give only 2 to 3 movies that too same tune.people may enjoy harris songs only for certain limits after years harris songs cant withstand.it will fade like anything.but Rahman sir songs are all time standing hits.not only harris no one can touch Rahman.above all Rahman is very good human.even in real life also nobody can humble like Rahman.so be a human,praise Rahman but dont insult a good human being like Rahman by compare him with just like any people.we should proud of Rahman as a true human being.

For those harris fans i can only say that if u feel arr success in tamil,hindi and slumdog millionaire is just because of luck then harris need to be 100 times luckier than arr. Arr is first in every aspects. He hit tamil with roja, hindi with rangeela and now hollywood with slumdog. EVANO ORUVAN song from ALAIPAYUDEY had used by harris in MINNALE song VENMATHI harris only increased the tempo of the song.JUNE PONNAL tune copied from english album BLUE, song-ALL RISE.always background music of harris are from the movies like Roja,uyriea,muthu,etc.roja first scene terrorist music used by harris in the movies like chellamay(vishal inspection scene in bharath father house),KOVIL(bus chasing scene),etc.so this is just a sample.i can prove a lot.but thats not my job. Search with 'Hans Zimmerman' in film score genere understand Haris's genere, him and AR share similar styles that explains why people here call Haris to havecopied..but listen to his songs with out prejeduice, tamil people are lucky for the sheer class of their musicians something that does not come with just hard work or technology but with inate brilliance.

A commentator (BB) mentioned ARR is coping his tunes. can u say any such composings, at the same time i can give you 100 and more harris's copied tunes from ARR and other composers. harris is having very good xerox machine that will give copies of ARR tunes and other Western composer's. Harris is an excellent music composer and I think he puts in the feeling to the song. Almost all the songs are super hits and feel like listening to the song again and again... I liked AR once... but he has dropped down the list... AR is composing the reflections of his own...

A.R. Rahman (previously Dileep Kumar when he was a Hindu before converting to Islam) has basic knowledge of carnatic music. He knows ragas and has sung many Rama kritis. So Harris Jeyaraj cannot compete with Rahman (Dileep Kumar).

ARR is a talent who can do virtually any kind of music, I doubt Harris ability on this, no doubt his music is good and foot tapping, but if you listen to his Minnale and the latest album Ayan you can sense similarities in all the songs! Take ARR's Sangamam and his latest hit Delhi6! Two different pole! This is what true talent lays!

Harris Jayaraj is one of my favourate composer.He produced a number of beautiful melodies with a classic western touch. Comparing him with ARR is too early now. He has to travel a long way to reach with ARR. We can start compare only after Haris can able to compose songs in the class like- Varaaga nadikkarayoram, Quaja mere Qwaja, Manmohana, Dil Gira, Kaise Mujhe, Jane tu mera Kya hai, Mujhe rang De, Songs of Rang de Basanti, lagaan,Jhoola Baahonka, Taram pam pam, Kismat se hum tumse mile ge, Ae Ajnabi, Chayya Chayya, Barso re Megha Megha, Songs of kandu konden Kandu konden, Enswasakkate, etc.etc. See the veraities of songs he compossed.Songs are entirely different with its classic touch. But HJ's songs are mind blowing but having same look.So let him break the shell and produce more veraities of songs first. Then we sart compare. It is time to compare ARR with IR.

Harris Jayaraj is the most talented music director who has never given a single flop. Almost all his songs are super duper hit, but most of the songs of AR Rahman are all flops (ex: Alli Arjuna, Parasuram, kadhal virus, Udhaya, Aayudha eluthu, Varalaru, etc.) When AR RAhman himself has won Oscar its not a big deal for Harris. Haris has entered bollywood now in Murugados-shah rukh movie. Later he will enter Hollywood and shake the universe. This is true and will happen. No tamilian still knows for which song Rahman got Oscar.

(for senthil kumar)There is a lot of difference between originality and using technology. What ARR did is, he introduced the technology to Tamil cinema, hence it felt different. Total credit goes to rahman for that. But Nowadays most of the music directors use the latest technology. The thing makes ARR very special is , his continuous lead in the technical experimentation. As far as harris concerned, he's also technically sound person, so you feel the similarity. But you can't question about his originality. He's not following rahman foot steps. You should listen Ayan songs. Go enjoy.

He has his own style.(for senthil kumar) didn't you feel the difference when the minnale came? personally, I couldn't sleep well for three days after i watched that movie. The music got me all over. Still I'm exited as much as i felt in 2000. and i'm proud to be a fan of harris. at the same i respect all musicians.
