Those who watched the film 'Theeyavan' that released on Deepavali might have liked the work of the newcomer Uday in the film. Uday, an engineering graduate from the SRM University, toiled hard in Kodambakkam before getting a break. When the break came, it poured in torrents: even before his 'Theeyavan' releasd, he had been booked and is acting as hero in a couple of films titled 'Muthazhagi' and 'Kanavukkadhalan'.
Uday's grandfather T.T. Sundaram had reportedly worked as make-up assistant under S.S. Rajendran, the only surviving great of the MGR-Sivaji era. Uday, who is a die-hard fan of Ajit, says that he wanted to make it big like his Thala and confidently assures that he would reach the top some day and have a photograph taken with his matinee idol.
