Vijay TV has lined up some special programmes
for its viewers for Independence Day.
The day starts off by honouring Kodi Kaatha
Kumaran in 'Manikodiyin Mainthan' at 7.30 a.m. with a
thought-provoking look at the life and times of freedom fighter
Tirupur Kumaran along with a discussion and some inputs from
present-day leaders.
Following this is the humorous debate
conducted by Dindigul Leoni in Premier Leoni Sirappu
Pattimandram at 8 a.m.; the topic of discussion is, 'In the 60
years of independent India has the standard of living of an
Indian family improved or not?'
At 9 a.m. it is Koffee with Anu
- a special chat show, where the charming Anu is joined by
Manorama and Chachu; at 10 a.m. is a special episode of the
rib-tickling comedy show, Kalaka Povadhu Champions 3 as the
winners of Season 3 perform some of their best acts.
At 11 a.m watch the Jalsa -
Chennai 600 028 artists' team celebrate the success of their
latest film in a grand and gala manner in 'Saroja Saamaanikalo'.
At 1 p.m watch 'Ethu
Sudandhiram', a show in which many questions like 'Do reality
shows cross their lines? Do students need to sacrifice their
talent for the sake of studies?' will be discussed as the
citizens of independent India voice their opinions peppered with
celebrity guests.
Tune in at 2 p.m. to witness
the celebration of the hit movie Mozhi; 'Mozhi 100' as Producer
Prakash Raj and director Radha Mohan are joined by other
Kollywood stars in the celebrations. Following this at 3 p.m.
will be the curtain raiser of 'Pallikoodam' directed by Thankar
Bachaan, including some shots of the 'making of the film'.
At 4 p.m., it's time for the
stars to descend in 'Vijay Awards' - a celeb event where the
viewers chose their favourite stars; which witnessed some
ravishing performances by Yana Gupta, Priyamani, and Lakshmi Rai.
At 7.30 p.m. watch the making of Vasanth's latest film 'Satham
Podathey' starring Prithviraj and Padmapriya.
