Vijay
TV lights up the television screens this Deepavali with a
line-up of exclusive programmes featuring the top stars of Tamil
filmdom.
The celebration begins from November 7.
At 7.30 p.m. is 'Sagalakala Vallavan', a look at the
contribution of Kamal Haasan to filmdom. The Ulaganayagan's
family speaks about him. His daughters Sruthi Haasan and Akshara
Haasan speak about their father, as also Kamal's brothers and
veteran actors Charu Haasan and Chandrahaasan. Gauthami wishes
him a long life. Kamal Haasan's mentor, K Balachander, young
stars like Surya, Vijay, Simbu, Satyaraj, Jayam Ravi, writer
Sujatha, Crazy Mohan and actress Asin speak about the 10
dimensions of Kamal Haasan with respect to his upcoming release,
'Dasavatharam'.
Following
this, at 8 p.m. is 'Kamal Kaviarangam', a conclave in honour of
Kamal Haasan with luminaries like lyricists Na Muthukumar,
Kabilan, Viveka and Manusya Puthran speaking about his
contributions in poetic form. Also, Kamal will speak about each
of these lyricists.
At 9 p.m. is the blockbuster
film 'Krrish' in Tamil that redefined Indian cinema. Shot in
Singapore, the film stars Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra and
is directed by Rakesh Roshan.
Diwali Day - November 8, 2007,
begins with the humorous debate conducted by Dindugal Leoni in 'Leoni
Sirippu Pattimandram' at 8 a.m.; the topic of discussion is 'Who
has found more satisfaction in family life - today's women or
yesterday's women?'
Following this is 'Koffee with
Anu' at 9 a.m., where actor Surya and director A R Murugadoss
have a lively chat with the anchor. Surya speaks about his love
life with Jyothika. The director speaks about his latest project
with Aamir Khan, the remake of his super hit film, 'Ghajini'.
At 10 a.m. is 'Nayagan', where
Ilayathalapathi Vijay meets soldiers from Kamaavan Pettai. For
over four generations, 300 families of this locality have at
least one family member who is enrolled in the Army. Actor Vijay
visits every single house and fills the empty space left by the
soldiers and becomes a true 'Azagiya Thamizmagan'. At 11 a.m.
for 'Kalakka Povadhu Champions 3', actor Jayaram joins the
champs.
At 12 Noon is 'Ippadai thorkin
Eppadai vellum', where little superstar Simbu has a day out with
the Navy personnel from Visakhapatnam.
Following this is 'Naan
Pollathavan' at 1 p.m. Actor Dhanush spends his Diwali on the
sets of 'Pollathavan' and shares his experiences on how he
spends the festival of lights.
Next comes the IFFA event at 2
p.m. where Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek
Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai take part.
Following this are the curtain
raisers for the films 'Pollathavan', starring Dhanush and Ramya,
and 'Vel' starring Surya and Asin at 5 p.m. and 5.30 p.m.
