Pizza Hut
Where: Gee Gee Emarald, Nungambakkam
What you get: Need I tell you?
We went into
Pizza Hut around 6.30 in the evening. A pretty unusual time to stuff yourself with food, you might say. Why because we had a movie to catch at
Mayajaal a couple of hours later. So that explains it.
We decided to order some pizza straightaway and leave soon. But then my mom decided to order some
salad. So we ordered tomato soup (Rs 45), garlic
bread (Rs 50), Exotica medium pizza (Rs 235), peanut celery salad (Rs 55) and iced tea.
I had not eaten at Pizza Hut in a long while and felt that the pizza tasted better than what they used to serve before. We were half-way through our
pizza when the manager came across and said we should try the Pan Hindustani Chettinad pizza. We were full but decided to check it out nonetheless. And we were glad we had done so. The pizza had the typical taste of the
Chettinad spices and if you needed some more of the spice, the seasoning was available on the table.
The Chettinad pizza is a new addition to the Pan Hindustani range wherein you already have the Tandoori Pan Pizza. On this day, the winner was the salad of which we were enamoured of. I decided then and there to come in and have only the salad one day.
We chose not to have dessert though there were some interesting choices.
On this particular day, there were three diners celebrating their birthday and the
Pizza Hut people put together a rap to wish them.
If you want to celebrate the birthday of your child at
Pizza Hut, they have some pretty good offers that you might want to check out. Only the
birthday cake doesn’t come along with the booking that you do, and you can order the birthday cake from outside.
They also had something new about their deliveries. They now deliver in a special heated pack that has built-in elements to keep your
pizza oven hot. Cool nah? Or rather, hot nah?
They also have something called the Pan 4 All, in which they serve 4 different pan pizzas in one box for Rs 200 when it is all
vegetarian, two veg and two non-veg comes at Rs 250 and four
non-veg comes at Rs 295. Now this is one deal that I might check out when I call my friends home for combined study ;) You see exams are passed like this. It is difficult to have both a finely honed mind and a finely honed body.
The number to call for deliveries is 26401111 or you could walk into any of their outlets at
Nungambakkam, Adyar, Anna
Nagar, R K Salai, T Nagar or Phase III, Spencer Plaza.
Here I must add that the one thing that we were a bit disappointed about was their not serving mouth fresheners. When asked why, they said it was their policy not to serve any. The idea is also that they want the taste to linger in our mouths. Hmmm…
As we thanked the manager for the great service and were exiting when we noticed a bell that we hadn’t seen in Pizza Hut before. Ring it to convey that you have had a good time there. As for me, I rang it true, loud and clear.
Oh, and the movie was great too!
