The aachi of the film world, Manorama, sprinkled humour and spices while treating the special guests at 'Malgudi' to choicest delicacies at the inauguration of the Chettinadu Food Festival.
The fest at Hotel Savera is on till November 30 from 7 p.m. onwards, said the hotel's sales and marketing manager Anthony Michael.
Actress Suhasini, writer Sivasankari and many other celebrities were there for the inaugural to grab the pearls of wisdom from Manorama and also her recipes. Manorama held the stage with her
lec-dem.
The restaurant Malgudi derives its name from the book 'Malgudi Days' and was inaugurated by the author R K
Narayan.
Rahool Saksena, a pioneer in using recycled materials to prepare signature art lamps, auctioned his creations during the food fest. A part of the sale proceeds goes to 'Rasa', an NGO, for its developmental activities. Besides, kili josiyam, valayalkaran, and a pottery wheel were added attractions on the sidelines.
