Archie & Co. from Riverdale High are all set to welcome guests at
Matchpoint, the 24-hour Coffee shop at the Taj Coromandel. Starting May 21,
2003, the Coffee Shop at the hotel will be hosting Archie Fest - a two-week food promo featuring summer beverages, main course and desserts, between 3:30 pm and 7:00 pm.
Explains Mr.P K Mohankumar, General Manager, Taj Coromandel, “We are hosting a new promotion called the Comics Festival at the Matchpoint. This festival will be based on various popular comics of all times like Archies, Asterix, Tintin and the like. The idea is to give our customers ample and more opportunities to chill out at the restaurant by offering some great mega combo packages. And considering that the rates (for these promos) are also very nominal, we are positive of an encouraging response.”
The mega combo treat consists a three-course package including beverages, main course and desserts. Guests can make their choices from a wide array of each. Main course includes an interesting mix of burgers, sandwiches, munchies, pizzas and Chennai Hot spots. Within each of these, there is yet another delicious range to choose from. To sample - Cool of Smoothie, Quick berry shake (beverages); herb chicken sandwich, phuket pizza, cocktail medhu vada, tortilla (main course); Pears in paradise, Hawaiian Island, S’mores Sundae (desserts). Any permutation and combination within these comes at a very affordable Rs.199/- (incl. of taxes).
