With the mercury touching scorching levels, the Taj Connemara is all geared to chill out this summer!! Starting
April 25, 2003, the Oakshott Bar at the hotel will be hosting a 10-day Beet and Sausage festival, until
May 4, 2003. The festival will see the Bar transform into a true chill-out zone featuring some great beer & sausages,
after 7.30 p.m.
Beer has always been associated with chilling out. And in these times of soaring temperatures such a festival seems most appropriate. Besides being the first of its kind that the hotel has ever hosted, the festival is truly unique in terms of what it has to offer to the guests. Beer and sausages are not considered very seriously and are normally assigned the 'light/casual dining' preference for many. A fest like this attempts to highlight the myriad varieties of the two and how well they can pep up the dining occasion. To make the festival an experience to remember, the ambience is also being done up accordingly," explains Mr. R. Pasupathy, General Manager, Taj

Set against the backdrop of a bar, guests can sample several varieties of Indian drought beer with spicy sausage accompaniments that include mini sausage rolls, grilled chicken sausages, cocktail hotdog rolls (pork), mushroom and sausage on toast, and devilled cocktail chicken sausages, to name a few. And while relishing the delicacies, guests can also jive to some real peppy music!!
