Taj Coromandel, in association with the Australian Trade Commission is organising a 10-day
Australian Wine and Cheese festival at the hotel. This special festival will feature some exclusive Australian wines and a host of exotic Cheese recipes.
On this unique festival, P K Mohankumar, General Manager, Taj Coromandel says, "The wine and cheese culture in India is getting increasingly popular. As a part of our endeavor to promote this culture, we have been organising such festivals. Recently, we hosted a Wine Appreciation session at the hotel. In the Wine and Cheese festival, we have tied up with the Australian Trade Commission to showcase some of the best Australian wines and cheese. Given the uniqueness of the festival and the potential for this culture in Chennai, we are positive that the festival will be a successful one."
The menu comprises delicious starters, fondues, varieties of breads, vegetables and meat (for dipping) and desserts.
Halloumi and Mushroom ravioli with Garlic and Paprika flavoured Cheese sauce; and, farfalle with sautéed shrimps and squid in seafood cream are some of the highlights in the main course. Halloumi and feta are the varieties of cheese that would largely be used in the recipes.
Warburn Cabernet Merlot; Warburn Verdelbo 1998; Semillon Chardonnay 2000
are some of the Australian wines that would be featured in festival.
