The restaurant has recently launched a new lunch concept that is to become a regular feature. The novel lunch concept features a new format for fine dining including a revamped menu themed appropriately on the seven deadly sins - passion, gluttony, seduction, envy, lust, temptation and obsession - one for each day of the week.
According to Mr.P K Mohankumar, General Manager, Taj Coromandel, “As a fine dining restaurant, the profile of The Patio is very different from that of our other restaurants. Our observations revealed that The Patio was more frequented for dinner as compared to lunch. This is mainly because of a perception that fine dining is a long drawn affair as it involves an elaborate meal. A pre-set lunch menu everyday of the week not only addresses the time perception issue, especially for the corporates for whom time is money, but also offers scope for discovering something new on the plate everyday. Besides ensuring excellent value for money, this concept allows for a branded option for lunch, with the assurance of Patio’s legendary service and cuisine. The bottom-line is to redefine the perception of fine dining and to enable more guests to enjoy the experience. ”
The innovative concept design features a three-course meal including starters or soups, main course and desserts. Besides, there is also a selection of wine to choose from. The menu has been completely revamped to allure the tastebuds into total surrender. With truly exotic and appetizing recipes that can get you passionate about creamed vegetables; or obsessed with teriyaki chicken; or tempt you effortlessly to a plate of pan roasted chicken breast, the seven deadly sins seems an appropriate premise for the menu. Added to this is the prospect of a menu that doesn’t repeat itself for the course of an entire week. All this at an extremely nominal Rs. 450/- (excl. of taxes).
You can tease your tastebuds to an assortment of cajun grilled chicken with mushroom sauce, BBQ roast lamb with Dijon jus, fettuccini with spicy tomato sauce, pan roasted chicken breast and golden corn, spiced prawn with coriander beurre blanc, spaghetti with fresh cherry tomato and the like. And as you eye your plate of herb roast chicken lustfully, you will agree virtue is indeed a thing of the past!
When it comes to satiating an appetite for fine dining, the Patio does make a statement. One great spot!
