Paruppu Thovaiyal
|
Tired of cooking the same
sambar,
rasam and curry everyday? Try making paruppu thovaiyal for a change.
Ingredients:
-
Thuvaram paruppu – 25 gm
-
Kadalai paruppu – 25 gm
-
Ulutham paruppu – 25 gm
-
Tamarind – A small ball
-
Red chilli- 5 or 6
-
Salt - To taste
|
Method:
Place the frying pan over the stove and heat it for some time. Then pour two tablespoons of oil in it. After the oil heats up, add all the paruppus and fry till they turn golden brown. Try not to
over fry them as they will lose their flavour then.
Take the fried paruppus off the stove and allow them to cool.
Now grind it in the mixer by adding the tamarind,
salt and
water.
Tip:
Add the water a few drops at a time so that the thovaiyal is nice and thick and not watery like rasam!
