Lemon rice

Last week I taught you how to make tomato rice. Shall we try this week also something just as easy? Here is the recipe for lemon rice.
Ingredients :
Rice - 1 cup
Green chillies - 2
Ginger - Cut one ginger into pieces
Salt to taste
Lemon - 2
A few curry leaves
Cashew nut - Four or five
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp |
Method:
Wash the rice and cook it in a cooker. Spread it on a plate to cool it. Cut the lemon and squeeze out the juice (make sure you strain out the seeds). Heat the oil and fry the cashew nuts and mustard seeds together, add the green chillies, turmeric powder and fry for another minute.
Add the lemon juice and stir gently. When the mixture boils, lower the flame of the stove. Take the mixture off the stove and stir it in with the rice. Make sure the juice is spread evenly in the rice. Cover the vessel and let it cool for 30 minutes until the juice soaks in.
Add curry leaves for smell and that special taste that will make your lemon rice a winner.
