Ingredients
Bread (slightly old, hard bread is preferable)
Filling:
Minced meat - 2 cups (cooked)
Potatoes (cooked and chopped small) - 1 cup
Onion - 1, minced
Ginger and garlic minced - 1 tsp each
Capsicum chopped fine - ½ cup
Curry powder - ½ tsp
Pepper powder - ½ tsp (or to taste)
Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
Coriander leaves - 1 handful, chopped fine
Salt to taste
Oil to fry
Method:
Heat a little oil, sauté onions, ginger and garlic. Add spice powders, salt and turmeric and sauté a while longer. Add minced meat and stir over low flame till well blended. Mix in potatoes, capsicum and coriander leaves and take off from the fire. Keep aside till cool.
Remove crusts from bread, dip each slice in a bowl of water, quickly remove and squeeze with both palms. Put a little of the prepared filling in the centre and roll up and pat till "bomb" is sealed well. Repeat till all the filling is used up.
Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown. Drain and serve piping hot with tomato sauce or mint chutney.
