Hunger Busters
The holiday season is fast approaching and it means different things to different people. But, to moms everywhere, I’m absolutely sure that it means a houseful of hungry kids and occasionally an overgrown one as well. Don’t worry, that does not mean long hours in the kitchen. Especially if you could keep some healthy and mouth-watering stuff handy. So, without much ado here are some exciting recipes for you.

Fruity Biscuits

Ingredients-

- Flour-11/2 cups
- Butter-50 gm
- Sugar-75 gm
- Tootyfruity-1 cup
- Vanila essence-2 tsp
- Baking powder-1 tsp
- Milk-1/2 cup
- Cashew nuts-a few (optional)

Method

Sift the flour and baking powder. Mix the tootyfruity into it and leave aside. Cream the butter and sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy. Now fold in the flour mixture, a little at a time. Add a little milk (if required), to make a smooth dough. Now add the essence and mix well. Roll out the dough on a floured surface. Cut using a cookie cutter and arrange on a greased baking tray. Bake for about 10-15 minutes at 160 degrees.

Gingernuts

Sift flour, baking powder and ginger powder into a bowl. Rub in the margarine to make a crumbly mixture. Now make a thick paste using the caramel syrup. Bake for 20 minutes at 320 degrees. |

Method

Mix flour, cheese, baking powder, shredded chicken, salt and pepper. Beat the egg and milk. Now pour the egg mixture into the flour. Make a smooth paste. Pour into greased muffin pans and bake for about 15 minutes at 220 degrees.
