Palak leaves - 1 bunch cleaned and chopped
Methi leaves - 1/2 bunch cleaned and chopped
Masoor dal - 1 cup
Garlic paste - 1 tsp
Green chillies - 2 minced
Red chillies - broken 2
Onion - 1 chopped fine
Amchoor pd - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric pd - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil - 2 tablesp
Method
Cook dal with finely chopped palak and
finely chopped methi leaves. Heat
oil. When hot, add jeera, garlic paste and fry for a second. Now
add minced
chillies, broken red chillies and fry. Add onions and after five
minutes of
frying add amchoor powder and turmeric powder. Add 1/2 cup of water
and simmer. Add the boiled dal, palak, salt and simmer for seven
minutes. Serve hot with rice or roti.
