Ingredients
Medium potatoes - 4
Toppings:
Melted butter
Salt and pepper
1 ½ cups curds
1 crushed garlic clove
herbs
1 tablespoon butter
3 onions
Mushroom spread
Method:
To cook the potatoes, brush with oil, prick all over, wrap
in microwave-safe plastic wrap and arrange around the circumference of the turntable. Cook at 100% power for 8-10 minutes. The exact
timings will depend on the size. Remember to check after standing time - 3 to 4 minutes. Unwrap the potatoes, make a cross on the top of
each and squeeze open them. Dress with one of the following suggestions.
The simplest dressing is the butter, salt and pepper. The
calorie conscious can substitute the butter with just lemon juice and herbs. To make the second dressing, hang the curds up with the garlic
in a muslin for 40 minutes or till it is a creamy mass. Add the seasoning and herbs. Celery goes very well. A dash of chilli sauce
or grated ginger is interesting. You may also like to saute the onions in the butter and top the potatoes with them. Add green chillies and
garlic for flavour. Golden glazed onions are also delicious.
