Bread Slices - 8
Butter - to apply on the bread slices
Onion - 5 big and finely chopped
Cinnamon - 1 big piece
Cardamom - 1 split
Oil - 6 tbsp
Chille powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Sugar - 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Method
Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed kadai and season it with cardamom and cinnamon; add onions and sauté. Add salt, turmeric, and chilli powder. Cook on low flame. When onion is finely cooked with a light brown tinge and separates from oil, add sugar and sauté again. Remove. Apply this filling over buttered and trimmed bread slices.
Make them into balls or cut into triangles.
