Method:
Fry the rice lightly and powder it coarsely. Fry the dal till it turns golden and powder it well. Take both these powders, add the grated coconut, salt and mix well. Then mix the cumin seeds and butter and enough water that is needed to make semi-dry dough. Make small balls out of this dough. Heat oil in a deep-bottomed pan and fry the dough balls.
Note: You can also add white til instead of cumin seeds.
