Ingredients:Potato - 1/2 kg
Tomato - 3 (medium sized)
Onions - 3 (medium sized)
Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 spoons
Garam Masala - 1 spoon
Red Chilli (round) 10 to 15
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Jaggery (grated) - 1 tbs (optional)
Oil - 100 gms
Method:
Boil potatoes, mash and keep aside. Grind tomato and onion.
Keep aside. Heat oil, add ginger-garlic paste and saute until it turns golden brown in
colour. Add the tomato and onion paste and saute until the mixture leaves the sides of the
pan. Add garam masala and mashed potato. Mix well. Add four cups of water, salt, turmeric
powder, jaggery and red chillies. Cook until the oil comes out on top. Granish with
chopped coriander.
Serve hot with roti, nan, pulav, puri.
Note: Garam Masala powder is a mixture of
cloves, bay leaf and saunf.
