The Piano Restaurant will play different
tunes with different cuisine, every afternoon as a lunch buffet at
Hotel Savera. The ambience being very English, the Piano Restaurant
will offer the "most exotic cuisine" of the country and
abroad, to provide a week-long food fare. The five-day "tantalising"
package ranges from Monday Coastal, Tuesday Royal Mugalai, Wednesday
Bale Bale Punjabi, Thursday Exotic Oriental to Friday Fine European.
A typical lunch
buffet on a Monday would consist of coastal Goan-style crab curry,
seafood Szechwan and caratins picantes (spicy bitterguord). On a
Tuesday, Mughalai lalia kesar, murgh Afghani kebab and paneer pasanda.
On a Wednesday, Punjabi methi murgha, Amritsari machchli, sarson ka
saag, and bhartha. On a Thursday, Oriental gaen phet gai (red curry
chicken), sizzled chilli fish, stir-fried shredded lamb with mushroom
& green pepper mee bai mangbok (Thai noodles With basil) and
finally on a Friday, European grilled sea bass with fennel, ragas con
papa (shredded lamb picadillo), and tagliatelle al pesto (pasta with
basil sauce).
The lunch spread
consists of soup, four non-vegetarian salads, seven vegetarian salads,
five types of dressings, four non-vegetarian dishes, seven vegetarian
dishes, noodles, four rice varieties, two Indian breads, four Indian
desserts, five bakery desserts, fresh fruits and four different types
of ice creams.
The Piano has been a
preferred venue for corporate lunch meetings and many a business is
concluded quietly on the sidelines. Even the executives, ever short of
