Dr Sagy (39), who holds a basic B.A.M.S degree from Sri Venkataramana Ayurveda College, Madras University (1992), also has a diploma in Biochemistry Medicine –
D.B.M.
He undertook Transcendental Meditation teacher’s training and special training in panchakarma and Nadi Pareeksha ((pulse diagnosis) at Maharishi Vedha Vigyan Viswa Vidhya Peeth, Noida, New Delhi.
The doctor, who knows Malayalam, English, Hindi, Tamil and Sanskrit, is currently working for his M.Sc. psychology degree from Madras University.
Work experience:
He is a consultant and Panchakarma supervisor in Maharishi Ayurveda Prathishtan, 28 Dr Gurusamy Road, Chetput, Chennai –31. He is also consultant in the consortium of Shilpa architect for a Kerala government project on health tourism at
Vegamun, ldukki.
Apart from having a private practice, he is a corporate consultant to the K C P Group of companies.
Earlier, he was Transcendental Meditation teacher at Maharishi Institute of Creative intelligence, Chetput, Chennai (1993 to 1995).
From 1995-2000 he was manufacture in-charge of Ayurveda medicine at Ahura Pharmaceuticals, Sarathi Nagar, Velacherry, Chennai at which time he was also consultant to Tabf Treatment Clinic.
From 2000-2006 he had a private practice and was consultant Panchakarma units in Chennai and Malaysia.
He has done stress management corporate programs for Chennai police (CB-CID), Tarapore group of companies, Hotel Adthiya, Floating University Students, Sree Narayana Seva Samithi, Tiruvanmiyur, Classic Club, Madras Cricket Club, Probus Club, etc.
He was vice-president of the All India Ayurvedic Congress, Tamil Nadu Unit and vice-president, All India Ayurvedic Congress, Chennai Unit.
A resident of Kunnamkulam in Kerala, he now resides in
Tiruvotriyur, Chennai.
