* To treat sore throat, grind kuppameni leaves (found in most houses, or can be bought from the vegetable vendor) and make a paste with chunnam. Apply the paste on the throat twice a day and allow it to dry. * Another way to treat sore throat is to pound kadukkai and separate its skin. Boil the skin in water and drink the decoction * Suffering from cold and phlegm? Boil eight betel leaves and lavang (krambu) in water. Drain and allow it to cool down a little. Drink the lukewarm water and the phlegm will be flushed out of your system through your motion. * Milk boiled with pepper and turmeric powder can also fight phlegm very well. * Here is a kashayam for cold: Take tulsi leaves, small onions, pepper, ginger and turmeric powder. Boil in water. Add jaggery (vellam) made it drinkable. Mix coffee powder with this mixture and then strain and drink. But remember to drink it before food. If you suffer from breathing problem, throw some tulsi leaves into a copper vessel (sombu) and allow the water to stand the whole night. Drink this water on empty stomach the next morning. It is sure to clear your breathing problem. Eosinophilia: Take 7/8 cloves of garlic and cook it in milk. Take this garlic milk three or four times a week. The cure for sneezing?
