Sri Sri in Europe
Sri Sri Ravishankar, founder of Art of Living, is currently on a whirlwind tour of The Netherlands to promote human values through public dialogue on ‘Revitalising Human Values in Society - Challenges and Paths to Solutions’.
He was received at the Peace Palace by the President of the International Court of Justice at The Hague.
Apart from a series of public talks during the tour, Sri Sri delivered a keynote address to the International Courts Tribunal of Yugoslavia at The Hague on December 6, 2004. In Brussels, he addressed the
European Parliament’s meet on human values as a keynote speaker on December 7. The august body has invited him to share his experiences of working with those in need and on the subject of universal understanding.
During the tour, Sri Sri held several rounds of meetings with political and
spiritual leaders. He also addressed executives at the Shell headquarters on corporate and personal values.
In light of the recent ethnic unrest in Holland, Sri Sri's visit and his message of peace and the importance of reviving human values are being welcomed as a breath of fresh air. Sri Sri also addressed the staff at the Islamic University in Rotterdam where this message was appreciated.
Earlier in the week, in Brussels, he was received by the Governor of Antwerp, and a book dedicated to him was released at a function where he addressed a gathering of prominent business leaders and intellectuals of Belgium.
