Sadguru Shrimath Santhananda Swamigal's (founder of Chennai Om Sri Skandasramam) jayanti is to be celebrated in a special way on April 6, 2007, with homams and poojas at the temple that also houses a statue of the swamigal.

Ashram manager P Santhanam says there will be a special Danvantri homam starting at 9 a.m. along with Ganapathy homam, Navagraha homam and the moola mantra homam. 

At 10 a.m. there will be a Guru Paduka pooja.

The 'go' pooja would precede all these at 7 a.m. while the purnahudi will be performed at 7.30 p.m.

Annadanam will be at 12.30 p.m.

Santhanam adds that devotees are welcome to participate in the homams and poojas and get the "bountiful blessings of Sadguru Shrimath Santhananda Swamigal".
