Autograph
(Cheran, Gopika, Krishna)
 'Autograph' is Cheran's second 'heroic' effort after the debacle 'Solla Marantha Kathai'. Apart from scripting, directing and playing the hero, Cheran has taken the additional risk of producing it too. Playing his romantic interest is Gopika from Malayalam films. Three top actresses are to play crucial roles in the film.
It's a slice of life that Cheran depicts in his new film. Says he, "There are times when a person looks back at his past - the sorrows and joys and the incidents that shaped his life. He should not let his past dictate his future, but take hold of the opportunities offered, and continue with life". The film depicts three important phases in the hero's life - his school days, his college life, and his experiences as he searches for a job. This also includes the various women he encounters in the different stages. For the role that spans three different stages of life, Cheran has adopted completely different looks.
The story revolves around a Tamil Brahmin family, based in Palghat. Hence, except for Tamil actors like Cheran, Rajesh, 'Five Star' Krishna, Ilavarasu, and a couple of other artistes, the rest of the artistes are from Kerala. Crucial scenes were shot at locations in Aalapuzha (Kerala), in a 30-day schedule. Wielding the camera is Vijay Milton.
The sets are designed by Maniraj. The tunes are composed by Bharadwaj.

Cheran has, for the first time, penned the lyrics for a song.
Stunt choreography is by Super
Subbarayan.
The film's second schedule is to take place at Palani, and the songs are to be picturised in Kulu
Manali.
