Pirates Of The Caribbean: The curse of the black pearl. (English)
Director: Gore Verbinski
Cast: Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley, Jack Devanport, Jonathan Price.
There's adventure, action, and an element of the supernatural in this tale of daring rescue mission aimed at reversing an ancient curse related to a forbidden fortune. Johnny Depp plays Captain Jack Sparrow, a charming rogue, a pirate who only wants to get back his ship stolen by the wily captain Barbossa. With trinkets in his hair, his speech a little slurred, and his bizarre dressing, Depp's is a role quite different from the suave ones he'd handled earlier (like in 'Nick of time').
As Jack pursues his adventure on the seas, his pirate life capsizes, when the wily captain Barbossa steals his ship 'The Black Pearl'. Barbossa kidnaps the governor's daughter Elizabeth, and has the British Navy after him. Elizabeth's childhood friend Will Turner joins hands with Jack to rescue her and recapture The Black Pearl. On the other side is a cursed treasure that has doomed Barbossa and his crew to live forever as the undead, the moonlight transforming them into skeletons. Caught between the British Navy and the Barbossa crew, Jack and Will have to rescue Elizabeth, restore the treasure, and repay the blood debt. The film is good in parts, many of the scenes look repeated, the adventure mildly interesting. It's for hardcore lovers of this genre.
