Knock, knock, I'm looking to marry

 It's an Indian English film touted as a romantic comedy. It's all about arranged marriage versus love marriage. Nithya, a Tamilian working in Bangalore, has her parents constantly pressurising her to marry, the prospective grooms either coming home to size her up or she meeting them elsewhere.
An exasperated Nithya tries in vain to convey to her parents that none of the guys she met were to her satisfaction. Nithya, in her acting class, comes accross Sundeep (Suhaas, VJ in SS Music) a Punjabi, with a decent job and looking out for the right girl.
Sundeep and Nithya strike up a friendship, with Sundeep realising that Nithya is the girl he wants to marry. But Nithya, obvious of this, agrees to marry a guy she finds interesting and nice among the ones lined up by her parents. Till she realises that the guy was not so nice after all.
It's a debutant's work and this is evident right through. The whole film looks more like a high school play, with it's stilted dialogue delivered in the most contrived way; the actors trying to look natural but appearing far from it.
Many of Nithya's suitors appear more as caricatures, some a little moronic too. The director could have made her scenes more realistic and convincing.
Preetha's camerawork shows promise, her apprenticeship with P C Sreeram standing her in good stead. Noticeable is Rajeevan Nambiar's art work which gives a natural ambience to the scenes. Suhaas has the looks and an expressive face, and with the right role can make a go of his acting career. Rathi, with her suitable and trendy dresses, has never looked so pretty before in her Tamil films.
