The Medallion
Director:
Gordon Chan
Cast: Jackie Chan, Claire Forlani, Lee Evans, Anthony Wong, Alex Bao, Julian
Sands
When Interpol is on the hunt for criminal mastermind Snakehead (Julian Sands), it's Hong Kong cop Eddie (Jackie Chan) and Ireland's Watson (Lee Evans) they recruit. The duo are former partners who have fallen out with each other, and it's Eddie's former girlfriend Nicole's (Forlani) efforts that mends fences between the two.
Snakehead this time is involved in the kidnap of a young boy (Bao) who possesses a strange medallion with supenatural powers. Eddie rescues the boy, but loses his life in the bargain. But the mysterious medallion given to him by the boy, revives him from the dead, and he returns with enhanced super powers. How the boy is saved and the baddies are destroyed forms the rest of the story.
There's everything here that one would expect in a Jackie Chan film, and much more too. There's Jackie's fast-paced movements with special effects added to his physical skills. And there is a lot of humour too.
An enjoyable fare for Jackie Chan fans!
