Spiderman-2
Director: Sam Raimi
Cast: Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, J K Simmons, Alfred Molina, Rosemary Harris
Spiderman-2 is ready to spin its web on Indian audiences. Two years have passed since Parker had walked away from his lady Mary and decided to take on his responsibility as Spiderman.
This time round Spiderman has a new and formidable foe to face. The megalomaniacal Dr. Otto Octavious (Molina) aka 'Dr. Otto Ock' as newspaper headlines label him. The doc finds his research going haywire and he physically and psychologically in the grip of the gigantic Octagonal arms he's fitted himself with, when they suddenly develop a mind of their own and take the doc to a path of destruction. Peter (Maguire) has not only to fight this diabolical foe out to destroy anything in its path, but also desperately balance his dual identities as the Superhero and the mild-mannered college student, fight the impulse to abandon his secret life and declare his love to Mary (Dunst), regain the confidence of his best friend Harry (France) and his beloved aunt May (Harris). How the web-slinging hero with a power that is both a 'gift and a curse' faces the challenge is narrated in a fascinating way. It's an emotion-filled action-packed adventure on celluloid that will keep not only the kids but also the adults glued to the screen.
