This is the sequel to the 2001 ‘Shrek’, and if you liked the cute Princess Fiona and the lovable ogre Shrek, you’re sure to like this one too. This film begins with Shrek and his wife Princess Fiona on their honeymoon, when they are invited to the kingdom of Faraway, by Fiona's parents, the king and the queen.
To their shock, the king and queen discover that not only has their pretty daughter changed, but she also has an ogre for a husband. With Shrek saying and doing all the wrong things, the visit turns into a disaster. The king must now set things right, and he tries to, by taking the help of Fairy Godmother, who has her own axe to grind, with her son, Prince Charming, and ogre-killer, Puss in Boots.
Shrek now wants to look good, so that he’ll be a more suitable husband for Fiona. He does get his wish fulfilled. Meanwhile, Prince Charming has entered the scene, ardently wooing Fiona and gets the princess. Does the movie have a fairytale ending?
The film takes one on an adventurous trip, even as it parodies cinema itself. With its humour, both visual and verbal, it’s a delightful treat for adults and kids. The voices of some of the celebrity stars of
Hollywood give life to the characters. You wouldn’t regret seeing this one!
A delightful fairytale in animation!
