The hero and heroine mistake a co-student for the murderer and hold him under gunpoint. But their professor appears there and tries to kill them all. And then the cat is let out of the bag. The killer is none other than the professor himself who is sent to the lunatic asylum for treatment. A run of the mill story from Hollywood, revolving round a mentally deranged. But the powerful portrayal brings the audience to the edge of the seat. Sometimes one has an eerie feeling that there is someone standing behind with a knife, scratching one’s neck. The opening scene is really grand. A murderer wipes out all the travellers in a flight and gets ready to stab the last two (who are otherwise engaged busily in each other’s company). As we reach for our fingers to bite the nails, a director appears on the screen, calling ‘cut’. It was a scene in the movie directed by the film institute students. A film in the film, so to say. The camera has ensured a fair dose of terror in several scenes - particularly when a mouse enters into the neck of a dead body and emerges out. John Oatman has directed the movie. Jeniffer Morison, Mathew Davis, Hart Faulkner, Josam Lawrence are in the cast. - Saravanakumar
