Here we go again! Another one of Bollywood's lugubrious epic sagas, a
cocktail of love, devotion and hatred. It looks like a fine martini. There's a problem though. It lacks
flavour.
Dev (Sunil Shetty) and Anjali (Shilpa Shetty) are in love. Dev's love, however, borders on the abnormal, almost psychotic. Anjali's parents reject him and get her married to Ram (Akshay Kumar). Though unhappy with the marriage, Anjali in time takes a liking to Ram after he saves her from his niggling relatives. They lead a happy life, until Dev comes back with a vengeance. He teams up with Dev's step-mother to ruin Ram financially, but in spite of all his wealth, he remains poor and lonely. Ram extends an olive branch to Dev and explains to him that it is all the doings of destiny. A reconciled Dev leaves the couple to live in peace and follow his own life in London.

Though this is Dharmesh Darshan's third release after 'Raja Hindustani' and ' Mela', he had started working on it even before the others. The time gap shows, with some scenes looking old. All the three protagonists deliver, but the screenplay lets them down badly. Mahima Choudry is a refreshing change, also slowly making a place for herself in the acting department. Nadeem-Shravan, back after a long time, have scored some hummable music. Dharmesh needs to pull up his socks. The Indian audience deserves better.
