| Yeh Tera Ghar Yeh Mera Ghar |
Cast: Sunil Shetty, Mahima Choudhary, Paresh Rawal, Saurabh Shukla and Neeraj Vohra.
Director: Priyadarshan
The movie is about a man who is in debts, though he is not the cause for it. His late father, who had borrowed all the money, passed away leaving it to his son to settle the debts (Sunil Shetty). The only thing that his father leaves behind, in his will, is a house located in Mumbai. So the son starts his journey to Mumbai and when we arrives there he finds that a tenant has already occupied the place. The tenant is a young woman named Saraswati Joshi (Mahima Chaudhary), who lives with her family there. She only pays a measly 80 rupees a month, for she is a poor woman who has to support her family. So he seeks the help of his old friend Yadav (Paresh Rawal) who is a cop. Yadav wants to help his friend, but when he sees Saraswati he falls in love with her. The story now shifts focus onto Yadav who is double-crossing both of them to keep himself happy. The movie has hilarious situations between Sunil, Mahima & Paresh. It is well supported by Sanjay Narvekar, Saurabh Shukla, Usha Nadkarni, Radhika Menon, and Master
Adit.
Sunil Shetty has once again proved his flair for comedy. Mahima Chaudhary, who is trying comedy for the first time, portrays her character brilliantly. Paresh Rawal's facial expressions and style has the audience in splits. He has moved away from the villain roles and seems to be concentrating on comedy these days. The surprise element is Saurab Shukla, who plays a killer named Kane (also Saraswati’s uncle) and threatens Sunil Shetty. The sets are authentic, and resemble a real basti. Music by Anand-Milind goes well with the story. Dialogues are funny and can be enjoyed by the old and young. The director, Priyadarshan, has given a family entertainer.
