Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge

Director: Pankuj Parasahar
Music: Sajid-Wajid, Daboo Malik
Lyrics: Salim Bijnori, Jalees Rashid, Sudhakar Sharma
Producer: Gordhan Tanwani
Starring: Salman Khan, Sushmita Sen, Diya Mirza

Baba Films 'Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge' is the story of a young man (Salman Khan) and his friend (Inder Kumar) who are both ace marksmen. The police commissioner of the city in which they live hires them to kill underworld dons on the department's behalf because of their skill. While keeping their identity hidden, the commissioner rewards them handsomely for every killing. In the course of their duty, they are once asked to shoot at the chief minister who would be wearing a life-jacket and would, therefore, escape unhurt. The plan is devised by the chief minister to win public sympathy for himself, as a ploy to win the elections. Even while Salman is not sure whether he can accomplish the risky job (because there's the fear of killing an innocent chief minister if he misses the target spot), his friend agrees on his behalf and forces him to carry out the job for the sake of big money.

At the appointed time, Salman takes his position but before he can press the trigger, of his gun, the chief minister is actually killed by somebody else. With the police hot on his heels, he runs away from there even though he is innocent, because he has no proof of his innocence. He escapes in a running train but is soon pushed out of it by the murderer. He is found in an unconscious state by a man whose only son had been killed in a war. The man and his wife take care of him and when he regains consciousness, after many days, he has forgotten his past.

In his new abode, he keeps visualising strange things which are actually faded memories of his past life, but he can't make anything out of them. Finally, when his parents tell him that he is not their son, he departs, having only two clues about his identity - the city from which he hails and the fact that he has a brother. In the city, he pieces together bits of information till he regains memory of his past life almost completely. In the meanwhile, the police commissioner is after him for the chief minister's murder. With the commissioner on his trail, it becomes imperative for him to prove himself innocent by solving the mystery of the murder, which he does. He returns to his foster-parents and his girl friend living in the village, as his girl friend in the city had sacrificed her life to save his.

Salman Khan does a fairly good job, but the role does not suit his current image. Sushmita Sen and Diya Mirza have roles that are quite insignificant. Inder Kumar does a fair job and, together with Salman, exposes his physique to the hilt. Mukesh Rishi leaves a mark as the police commissioner. Sharat Saxena is good. Johny Lever's comedy is okay. Rajpal Yadav does a fantastic job and his absence in the second half is sorely felt. Pankaj Dheer, Alok Nath, Gajendra Chauhan, Anjan Srivastava, Nishigandha Wad, Gargi Patel, Razak Khan, Arbaaz Khan (friendly appearance) and Sadashiv Amarapurkar (guest appearance) lend average support. Pankuj Parashar's direction leaves a lot to be desired. Picturisation of the title song is visually very appealing, due to the excellent locations. On the whole, the film looks like two different halves pieced together.
