Welcome to the all new site that's to entertain you with songs and mixing based on mp3 format.The songs available for download are re-mixing of popular songs from Tamil and Hindi films.
How did I go about it?
- With my computer and keyboard, I designed a Pattern (Rhythm and Timing) with some drum variations and appropriate chord variations.
- Then I played the respective Pattern in my keyboard and while playing I recorded the corresponding song.
- While starting to play, I had setup the MIDI connections and received the MIDI data in my computer.
- Using some popular MIDI editors like, Cakewalk, I added sensitivity to the songs as follows:
· Adding some parameters
· Reverb setting
· Chorus depth
· Variation effects
· Insertion effects
· Stereo panning, etc.
- Then, I reverted back the song to my keyboard synthesizer so that I could get a better touch.
- I recorded the playback from my keyboard back to the computer, but as a wave file (wave files are of course large in size, but best in quality, when recorded properly)
- At this stage, I added some wave effects using good wave editors, say amplification, fading, Dolby
Surround and Noise Reduction, etc.
- Later, I saved my work as a windows wave file.
- For Internet usage, one cannot afford the size of a wave file. So selecting mp3 is the best way.
- I encoded my wave file with a good mp3 encoder in order to get a compression around 30: 1.
- Now, the final mp3 files are available for you to download.
Any one, interested in creating such music files, can do so. Knowledge of computer (related to music software) would always be an asset for creating music files. Knowing classical music would be an added advantage.
What is mp3?
MPEG layer 3 (or mp3) is an audio format that produces highly compressed files without sacrificing the audio quality. As a gross over-simplification, MP3 works by removing inaudible information. Compression ratios of up to 12:1 for stereo files can be achieved with very little degradation. The compression ratio by itself makes the MP3 format ideal for the Internet, where disk space and transfer time are precious commodities.
Requirements
You require at least a 133 MHz processor for a decent playback. Of course, a sound card (16 bit) is necessary. You need a MP3 player that is available all over the net. You can very well download from the following links:
Songs / Mixing
The songs available here are downloadable. I believe there's always hope for increasing the quality by giving a variety of songs. For example, a song in the basement, the song in a hall, concert, stage, room, etc. I will try my best to deliver the above mentioned in future. Till then you can download the songs that are available
here.
