Mudhra hosts its festival from December 17-26 at Freedom Hall, Nungambakkam. On the inaugural day, senior musician T K Govinda Rao (noted musician, author, composer and teacher) will be conferred The Mudhra Award of Excellence for his contribution to music.
The inaugural concert will be performed by M S Gopalakrishnan and Dr
Narmada.
Mudhra will also conduct a two-day 'Carnatic Music Appreciation Programme' on December 24-25 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), specially for rasikas outside Chennai and abroad.
