 Sadasiva Brahmendrar aradhana - 2006
 The 26th aradhana celebrations of Brahma Gnani Sadhguru Sadasiva Brahmendrar was observed on May 5, 6 and 7 at Manamadurai. A vaggeyakara, he felt that nadopasana is the best method of reaching the divine. His musical outpourings have suffused a divine aura. The songs are surcharged with divinity and spirituality. His ‘Bhajana Sampradhaya Kritis’ are sung by bhagavathars till date as they drip with emotion.
The idea to celebrate this festival was mooted by Paramacharya, the sage of Kanchi. The committee has many leading musicians as members. In order to create an awareness amongst the devout and the musicians, the committee organised the three-day festival where several leading musicians participated.
Scholars gave spiritual discourses. Many senior and budding artistes enthralled the audience with their soulful rendition. All the three days, pooja was done to the idol of Sadasiva Brahmendrar installed in Anantha Valli Sametha Sri Somanatha Temple.
Unchavriti was done everyday followed by pooja and continuous rendering of songs. Besides vocalists, leading percussionists also participated. Anjaneyar utsavam was performed on the concluding day.
It was a treat to see the musical fraternity assemble at Manamadurai to pay musical obeisance to Brahmendrar. The whole atmosphere echoed with harmonious music. Titans of the music world B V Raman, P S Naryanaswamy, Seerkazhi Jayaraman, A Sundareswaran, Thiruvenkadu Jayaraman and several others took part.
Sankara Sethu, an art critic and one of the organisers, coordinated the music mela with utmost care. Annaprasadha was served everyday.
