 People dance to his music
 The ‘call of music’ made Ramesh Chadaga shift his focus from hoteliering to music. Though the two streams are totally unrelated, his passion to learn Carnatic and Hindustani music (vocal) made him drown in sapthaswaras.
Even as a young boy he would intently listen to all the music programmes broadcast in the radio. His first tutor Amba laid a strong foundation which was the launchpad for his musical endeavours. Great luminaries like R K Srikantan, Keshava Murti, Venkataraman Sastri, tapped his potential and embellished his style.
Ramesh would practice for hours together, oblivious of the surroundings. His initial training in Hindustani music made him learn the nuances of Carnatic music with great felicity. He started performing in temples in and around Karnataka.
The rich, sonorous voice of Ramesh attracted classical dancers who wanted him to join their troupe as the lead vocalist. A leading actor of Karnataka, Sridhar, inducted Ramesh into his group. Now he has toured throughout the world.
In London, he accompanied Navin Khoo ‘Warna’ colours of Bharatanatyam. He has travelled the length and breadth of Europe and South Africa under ICCR.
During his regular performances in Raghavendra Swami mutt, Mantralayam, his sruti suddham raises many appreciative eyebrows. His incredible repertoire has made him straddle both the orthodox and modern streams with great clan. His penchant for music has made him compose many songs and has also scored music for a ballet.
Adept at rendering “Purandara Dasar's Devar Namas”, which is his speciality, people throng to him to learn them. He has also regaled audience with light classical songs.
Ramesh has released many CDs on the deities of Sringeri, Horanad, Tirupati, etc.
He believes in holistic healing. His music therapy in Yoga classes has proved effective. The mikeless rendering of songs during ‘Yoga’ has had therapeutic effect.
Ramesh enjoys singing and teaching and his music school attracts students from even far off places.
