A group of over a dozen kids from Ghatam Suresh's troupe 'Sankruthi' will present a vocal music performance at the 'Sunday Kutcheri in the Park' this Sunday (March 4, 2007) at the Nageswara Rao Park between 6.30 a.m. and 7.30 a.m.
The kids will be accompanied by Sankarnarayanan on the flute, Sikkil Balu on the violin, Kalyanaraman on the mridangam, Ramkumar on the tabla, Muralidharan on the congo and Satyaraj on the keyboard.
The kutcheri is intended to promote budding youngsters showcase their talent. The Sundaram Finance Sunday Kutcheri in the Park is open to kids below 15 years and is organised on the first Sunday of every month between 6.30 a.m. and 7.30 a.m. An audition committee, set up by Sundaram Finance, conducts an audition to finalise the artistes.
An interesting feature of the kutcheri is that mikes and speakers are not used and it is held in an open-air environment.
