 In
the matter of food,too, VVS & team score highly. High quality
S.Indian vegetarian food is served piping hot both for Lunch and
Dinner. This is one service, we are sure is non-pareil. Food for
the soul and food for the stomach!
Its truly commendable that a dedicated team
of volunteers have been at it for so many years and are able to
do something like this successfully year after year.
To organize a festival on this scale and
magnitude, particularly in a foreign land, at a time of the
year, when the weather is not friendly, not compromise on even
the smallest detail, ensure no dilution in quality is no mean
achievement. The organizers deserve high praise.
No show or event is successful unless there
is adequate support from attendees and this festival. Over the
years, this has become a must attend for all those interested in
Carnatic Music, residing in US. If for some reason they miss
going to the festival a particular year, they make sure they
don’t miss the following year.
 People come here to listen to some of the
great vidwans, they come here to meet long lost friends &
relatives, they come here to meet with vidwans, they come here
to expoe their children to quality music, to make their children
understand and appreciate other children, for their children to
learn.
Still It is indeed a masterstroke, to include
the competition for children as part of the festival.
Going by what one saw, the attendance may not
be what it is, but for the competition.
The festival is well worth the experience and
the organizers deserve high praise for doing a great job.
