Mark Kane -- DJ
DJ/producers/club promoters/radio presenters Larry Holcombe and Mark Kane who together form Definition Incorporated or DEF inc, have made it their business to redefine music, busting dance floors with their inimitable sampling, looping, scratching and re-editing 6-deck mixing style. With 12 years experience behind the decks, Mark Kane emerged from a background of industrial, trance, hard house and happy hardcore. In 2003 Mark remixed Coldplay's classic 'God Put a Smile Upon Your Face' which became one of the biggest chill out anthems of the year. Together their influences dip into a hugely diverse range from reggae and rock to funk and hip hop, via punk, industrial and trance. And their versatile production style ranges from funkier tracks such as Acid Rock and 50K to the deeper, dubbier vibes of University of Dub and Waking the Dread. DEF inc. is rocking dance floors the world over and is taking the duo out as far afield as China and Russia. Mark Kane will introduce DEF inc. to audiences in Chennai. Too diverse to pigeonhole, whatever style, DEF inc. certainly rocks.
