Music World, India's largest music and home video retail chain, which has stepped into its 10th year of operations is back with its annual exhibition-cum-sale 'Music World
Music fest' in Chennai till December 31, 2006, coinciding with the onset of the Margazhi season. The sale was inaugurated by renowned music director Bharadwaj at the Tag Centre on TTK Road,
Alwarpet.
The venue of the sale has been shifted this year to the TAG Centre in order to provide consumers an enhanced shopping experience, spread over two air-conditioned floors with ample car parking space within the premises. On offer is a wide range of music and movies, spread across genres and repertoires - from Carnatic classical, Tamil films, devotional, Hindi and international at discounts ranging from 10 per cent to 50 per cent.
Another new feature of this year's sales is the exclusive stalls put up by brands partnering in this sale.
For consumers buying Carnatic classical music, apart from the flat discounts offered on various products, they will be entitled to gift vouchers redeemable at select Music World outlets in Chennai, upon purchase of a pre-determined minimum value.
Subrata Kumar Chowdhury, president - Music & Books, Spencer's Retail Limited, stated, "We are, indeed, very happy that an experimental idea has come to big fruition over a decade.
